The date with Dr. Neal almost never happened after our first attempt failed miserably. However, he managed to redeem himself and I agreed to see him again. I have to admit it was kind of fun watching him squirm, beg and he even sent me roses. We decided to go to dinner and a movie. Very cliche and predicable choice but he’s a super busy doctor and not a creative artsy type so I wasn’t too surprised by the date selection.

I met him at the restaurant and this time we set an exact place and time. I told him he better be there early because if he is even a minute late I was leaving and never speaking to him again. I got there and walked up to the center bar where we agreed to meet and I noticed him right away. As soon as we made eye contact he got up and gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek. He was tall, dark and handsome. He was half Persian and half Italian and he reminded me of a younger version of Dr. Christian Troy (from Nip/Tuck). We sat down at our table and the conversation was very natural. There was no awkward “ummm”, “sooooo” or nulls.

The one thing I did notice about Dr. Neal is that he talked about his work A LOT. Even when we were just texting he would always say something about hospitals, patients, ER, medical school, etc. It was very strange almost like he was reminding me that he was a doctor every chance he got. Even when we were on our date he took out his iphone and showed me some fracture X-ray picture. All the doctors I have ever met have always been almost secretive about their profession but not Dr. Neal. It was a bit of a red flag.

To be continued….

I’ve been talking to this guy named Dr. Neal for over a month now. We were originally supposed to meet like 2 weeks ago for drinks but that didn’t work out too well. It was actually ever girls worse nightmare! I got stood up! Well kind of, we agreed to meet in this upscale (totally over priced) bar at 9. I got there exactly on time and I sent him a text saying “I’m here… do you wanna meet by the front bar?”. I sat in my car waiting for a response and got NOTHING back. I was freaking out! I waited a totally of 20 minutes in my car and then drove off. I was holding back tears. I couldn’t believe I got stood up. Its the worst feeling in the world. Every last detail was running through my head, did I say something stupid? What if he saw me waiting in my car and thought I was ugly? What if he was fake? I went into my usual psycho analyzing mood and couldn’t come up with anything.

An hour and a half after I got home Dr. Neal finally sent me a text message say “I’m so sorry I was on my way there and my phone died. I was at the bar looking around for you but after an hour I left.” I was so angry I just wrote him “Its fine, I’m over it. Good bye.” Long story short he just kept apologizing all night and into the next morning and I finally forgave him.

Even though I forgave him I wasn’t going to make it easy for him to see me. I made sure I was EXTREMELY busy for the next week and half. Finally, he pinned me down for a date and I saw him this weekend. I’ll have to tell you all about it in another post.

Sugar daddy dating is fun and exciting but it does have some pitfalls. You should know exactly what to expect when you decide to enter this world.

Men are all the same, rich or poor they are always thinking about sex. But the difference with sugar daddy dating and regular dating is that rich men are used to getting whatever they want. They believe that the same thing applies to sex. The sad thing is it usually does too. I don’t care if a guy has $100 in his bank account or $100,000,000, I will still treat them exactly the same. I value my body and I believe every woman should too. Don’t get distracted by a fancy car or a mansion. Trust me he will respect you more at the end. Just because he buys you things doesn’t mean you owe him anything. If he makes you feel like you owe him something then get rid of him, there are still good guys out there so don’t waste your time with a loser.

You might be bored to death sometimes. Rich men have a tendency to babble on and on about money. They’ll talk about the stock market, politics, net worths, etc. TIP- you should know a little bit about the subjects so you don’t look like a deer in headlights. I try to change the subject whenever possible. They should be going out with me because they want to escape their chaotic work life. I’m not trying to be their business partner I’m trying to be their wife.

They’ll expect you to feed their ego but don’t do it. When you see they are trying to show off don’t pay any attention to them. Don’t act impressed with anything they do. Acknowledge it but don’t fall for the trap and give them the compliments they are fishing for.

I don’t know if its the new site that I’m on or if I guys are just getting worse and worse. Either way I kind of had a little moment the other day and wrote out this checklist. I actually posted it on my profile and I’ve been getting a great response! Here it is:

:::: READ THIS BEFORE MESSAGING ME :::

1. Do not message me if you do not have a facebook. NO EXCEPTIONS. People who do not have a facebook are either married or hiding something. So “sorry I don’t have a facebook” is not acceptable its just weird.

2. If you can’t afford to take me out (and pay for an actual date). I understand the economy sucks blah blah blah but if you can’t afford to date you probably shouldn’t be on this website. Get this dating website and hit up craigslist JOB section. I can afford to pay for my own but I’m old fashioned and I still believe in courtships.

3. DO NOT try to impress me with your job. If having a Dr. or ESQ by your name is the only way you know how to impress a girl than that’s just sad.

4. If you are looking to get laid than DO NOT WRITE me. I probably won’t even kiss you on the fist date so if that’s the only thing you are looking for than you should probably stop reading now.

5. I have pretty much the exact measurements of Marilyn Monroe and NOT Kate Moss. So if you are looking for a girl with the body of a prepubescent boy than that’s not me.

6. If you are a serial dater good for you but don’t think that you can copy and paste the same message to me and 10 other girls and that will work. I have a bunch of hot friends on here and we tend to compare notes lol.

7. Don’t message me if you live in another state. I’m sure you are wonderful and all but relationships are hard enough when both people live in the same state. Long distance is just too hard for me.

8. If you get my number, that means I obviously like you. Plan something for us to do! I’m not going to chase you down to hang out. You can only ask me “how are you?” “how was your day?” so many times before I get bored. Stop procrastinating…

9. So basically I am forced to start over. If you have messaged me before 1/25/11 than consider your message unread. I currently have 550 unread messages and there are not enough hours in the day to read them all and respond. I’ve created this little checklist so I don’t waste anyone’s time.

I’ve been telling my friend Kelli forever now that she needs to sign up on an online dating site. Last week she finally gave in and signed up. We were having some drinks at my house on last Wednesday night and browsing for boys. She showed me a few guys that she was talking to and it turns out a few of them were messaging me the EXACT same thing! We were cracking up. These guys were literally copy and pasting the same thing to every single girl hoping for one to bite. Tisk tisk.

Once we discovered this we agreed that we would exchange notes on guys we are somewhat interested in. Just to make sure we’re not getting played by a “cut and paste guy” as we like to call them.

So this gave me an idea! Why not create a fake profile. I found some modeling pictures of a girl (who kind of looks like me) from a totally different state and created a fake account. This is so bad and not something I normally would do, however its a very good way to test the guys you like before you even go out with them. Why waste time with a guy if he is a player or a cut and paste guy?

Not even 24 hours after I created my fake account guess who messaged me? Alejandro! I couldn’t help but message him back. But I’m not going to lie, it hurt a little reading the messages he wrote my “fake girl”. After a few messages back and forth I decided I needed to stop talking to him all together, this couldn’t possibly be healthy. I may have been played by Alejandro but with my new trick I’m sure it will not ever happen again. Hopefully its helpful for you too!

Lucas was one of the guys I met off of this online dating website (for sugar daddies of course). He was the music producer/online entrepreneur. He seemed really genuine in the message he wrote me. Even though he wasn’t the most attractive guy I have ever met he seemed like he was looking for the same thing I was. I decided to give him a chance and we met for drinks at this really upscale restaurant. He text me and said he was running late because traffic was really bad (red flag) so I was sitting at the bar by myself for about 15 minutes before he showed up. I probably should have left at that point but I was having a really good hair day and I didn’t want to waste it. He came and sat down next to me and said “hello Ann”. It was a little awkward. He should have least gave me a hug I thought.

So this is when the conversation started to get a little weird. He told me that everyone should carry a gun. HUH? WHAT? I was so confused by this. Why is this strange guy telling me that I should own a gun? I seriously got a little scared at that point. Then he went on and on about how he wanted to pursue is childhood dream of becoming a police officer (I guess that kind of explains all the gun talk). Again, shock swept over my face. I love a man in uniform just as much as the next girl but I was looking for a sugar daddy not a struggling police officer. Not to mention, I don’t think I can handle all the stress that goes along with dating man with such a dangerous job.

When the date ended I couldn’t be happier. Nice guy but definitely not the right one for me. I’ll let you know how the next ones go.

Lady Gaga was right on when she wrote that song “Alejandro”.

After our hotel night I, again, didn’t hear anything from him. A week went by and I got nothing. I finally text him and he was so short with me. He didn’t ask me anything and just said he was busy with work. I was almost in tears! A light bulb went off and I had that dreadful realization, he’s just not that into me.

I lost him. Ohhh how the tables have turned. I went from being chased to being the one who chases. This is something that never happens. I’m usually the one in control and with Alejandro I completely lost it. It stings a little but you live and learn.

After Alejandro I went back to online dating. I needed a new man to rebound with ASAP. Nothing heals a broken heart as fast as new guy. I signed up last week and I’ve been swamped with messages and instant message pop ups.

The finalist are…..

Lucas- PLUS-He is a music producer and online entrepreneur. LOOKS- 6.5 (out of 10). NEGATIVE- Has a nine year old son. We already went on a date I’ll have to tell you about it in another post.

Justin- PLUS- Really handsome and tall 6′3. LOOKS- 8.5 (out of 10). NEGATIVE- When I asked him what he is looking for in a girl he said “nice, sexy and open minded”. FYI: Whenever a guy says “open minded” it usually means he’s into some weird sexual stuff. Usually, I’ll stop talking to a guy after that but he said he wants to buy me whatever I want and he’s flying my best friend from Chicago next week, so I’ll keep him around for a bit.

Those are the winners so far but there are a few more I’m talking to so I’ll keep you posted.

Fingers crossed!

After our night together I was freaking out! I needed to regroup and refocus. My mind was spinning and I was in “love” aka lust. I couldn’t get his adorable Colombian accent out of my head.

He didn’t text me the next day either. Not even to say “how are you?” or “I had fun last night”. I was a heartbroken! So I did what NO GIRL should ever do, I text HIM! I couldn’t help it, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. He wrote me back and we chit chatted a bit.

I stayed strong and didn’t write him for the next three day, which wasn’t really hard since he wasn’t writing me either. FINALLY, on the fourth day he asked me what I was doing. I was jumping around like a maniac so excited that he text me. I agreed to see him and we met up at this really swanky hotel bar. I know what you’re thinking a hotel bar really? But it was the popular new place to go that just so happened to be attached to a hotel well so I tricked myself into thinking anyways.

After a few drinks we somehow managed to end up in one of the hotel room. AGAIN, I fell victim to his charm, good looks and alarming ability to get me to do whatever he wanted. The next morning I woke up and ran out of there like a bat out of hell.

The last time I was so smitten with a man was probably in grade school. I wish you’ll could be in my mind right now because all I can think about is Alejandro. I don’t know what is. Maybe its a combination of his charisma, his accent, his money (and his love of spending it) and his unbelievably good looks (he’s got the whole Enrique Iglesias look going). Whatever it is he had me under his spell.

to be continued…..

Sorry girls I’ve been missing in action. I’ve managed to somehow fall in and out of love in 2 1/2 weeks. As you know I didn’t waste anytime and started online dating after Mike. I started talking to the most amazing guy ever (so I thought)!

Alejandro is Colombian and beyond hot! In a rebellious kind of way. He actually has a full arm sleeve believe it or not. That’s not really my cup of tea because tattooed guys are usually broke. But Alejandro managed to slip through the cracks because he was unbelievably charming and funny. Plus he owns a popular clothing store chain.

We hit it off so well, I felt like I’ve known him for years. We decided to make our first date a group date. Not usually my style but he suggested it and I thought why not.

I brought my best girlfriend Brittany and he brought his friend Joey and we all went to a concert he bought tickets for. Brittany and him got along so well and she is not an easy person to get along with. I was impressed. He was hilarious and had me cracking up the whole night. We ended up leaving the concert early and went back to his house for “drinks”. BAD IDEA and not something I normally would EVER do but for some reason I felt so comfortable with him. He lived in this amazing high rise downtown with views of the entire city.

We spent the night together and the next morning I woke freaking out. I couldn’t believe myself, this is not something I normally do. I told Alejandro I had to pick up a friend from the airport and ran out of there so fast. My head was spinning and I was having the most intense flashback of the night before.

To be continued…….

After I broke up with Mike I wasted no time and signed up on a dating website. The first day, I started talking to this really good looking guy named Troy. He kind of looked like a younger Mikey Rourke (from the movie 9 1/2 Weeks to be more specific). He was so excited to even be talking to me which I found strange because he is really handesome. He told me he owned a few golf courses and had some investments here and there. I was definitely excited when I heard he was a golf course owner because that usually means big bucks. Plus, I love to golf!

Troy asked to take me out to lunch on Friday. This is where it gets weird. He said “do you want to meet me at the food court in the mall?”. WHAT?! The food court?! I haven’t even been to a mall food court since I was like 13 years old. On what planet is it acceptable to take a girl on a date to a food court? I text him back saying “maybe we can get lunch at Cheesecake Factory instead? I love their lunch menu.” He responds with “I’ve never been to Cheesecake Factory before but I’ve heard of it. We can go there if you want”. How does a golf course owner/investor NOT know about Cheesecake Factory, I was stunned.

At around 10am on Friday I got a voicemail from Troy canceling on me! He had the strongest southern accent I have ever heard. I had to listen to the message like 3 times to make sure I heard it right. He gave some horrible excuse saying that he had to get something fixed on his car and Friday at noon was the only time he could get it done. Yeah right I thought. This guy is full of red flags I need to stop talking to him.
