Trick or Truth?

I’ve been telling my friend Kelli forever now that she needs to sign up on an online dating site. Last week she finally gave in and signed up. We were having some drinks at my house on last Wednesday night and browsing for boys. She showed me a few guys that she was talking to and it turns out a few of them were messaging me the EXACT same thing! We were cracking up. These guys were literally copy and pasting the same thing to every single girl hoping for one to bite. Tisk tisk.
Once we discovered this we agreed that we would exchange notes on guys we are somewhat interested in. Just to make sure we’re not getting played by a “cut and paste guy” as we like to call them.
So this gave me an idea! Why not create a fake profile. I found some modeling pictures of a girl (who kind of looks like me) from a totally different state and created a fake account. This is so bad and not something I normally would do, however its a very good way to test the guys you like before you even go out with them. Why waste time with a guy if he is a player or a cut and paste guy?
Not even 24 hours after I created my fake account guess who messaged me? Alejandro! I couldn’t help but message him back. But I’m not going to lie, it hurt a little reading the messages he wrote my “fake girl”. After a few messages back and forth I decided I needed to stop talking to him all together, this couldn’t possibly be healthy. I may have been played by Alejandro but with my new trick I’m sure it will not ever happen again. Hopefully its helpful for you too!

In my experience you will find that adult dating sites are full of fake profiles and faceless people. Not the same for senior dating sites these are more likely to be serious and honest and truly in search of friendship. If you are tempted to lie on these type of sites just remember you are playing with the feelings of a person who has probably been through heartbreak or trauma
